The Plastic Detox
The Plastic Detox is the new documentary on Netflix that everyone’s talking about, and it's bringing attention to something we see clinically every day. In case you haven’t seen it yet, we highly recommend it!
Plastic exposure isn't just environmental, it’s biological.
The film follows couples struggling with unexplained infertility who reduce their plastic exposure, and begin to see measurable changes. Because the issue isn't just plastic itself, it's what comes with it. Microplastics and the chemicals they carry interfere with hormone signaling, inflammation, and reproductive health.
This isn't about eliminating plastic completely. It's about reducing the total burden so your body can actually function the way it's supposed to. When exposure drops, the body responds.
We can screen your plastic exposure levels with a simple urine test, ask at your next appointment!
Some swaps/brands we recommend:
• Workout clothes: PACT or MATE
You shouldn't be sweating and absorbing toxins at the same time. Keep your Alo/Vuori/Lululemon for athleisure only
• Personal care & cleaning: Plaine Products
Heat causes slow leaching into products you're putting directly on your body. Switch your current brand to glass packaging.
• Cookware: Stainless steel (or Caraway as a middle ground)
Over time, toxins leach into your food.
• Coffee shop: Bring your own mug (Fellow is our pick)
Even for hot drinks those cups are plastic.
• Tea kettle: Fellow
This is what we use at Kore.
• Tea bags: Mountain Rose Herbs
This is what we carry at Kore. Conventional tea bags are made of plastic, and the tea itself can be toxic.
• Water filter: RORRA or AquaTru
Tap water carries microplastics, heavy metals, and other contaminants filtering at the source is one of the highest-impact swaps you can make.
• Blender: Vitamix stainless steel
Standard blender jugs are plastic and blending generates heat and friction, which speeds up leaching directly into your food.
• Cosmetics: KoreSkin
Now available in a 2oz glass bottle, ask Dr. Uppal!
The best part? Studies show your body can begin clearing accumulated toxins within just 7 days of reducing exposure!
We also recommend sauna therapy: Using a sauna 3-4x a week for 20-30 minutes each time supports detoxification.

Kore Density Is Coming This Month
We made our own supplement, because what's available on the market isn't good enough.

This Month's Peptide
GHK-Cu is a peptide I keep coming back to, and honestly, it's one of my favorites for a reason.
It activates repair at the cellular level. It signals your body to produce collagen, repair damaged tissue more effectively, and reduce inflammation. It doesn't just "support" healing, it helps reset how tissue repairs itself so your body can regenerate.
This peptide is great for:
• Skin that's lost elasticity, tone, or glow
• Slow wound healing or lingering inflammation
• Hair that's thinning, shedding, or not growing the way it used to
(I posted my own hair results on Instagram, go take a look!)
Recommended use:
5 days on, 2 days off, for 6 months
One important note:
Low ferritin (below 70), nutrient deficiencies, hormonal imbalances, and gut inflammation need to be addressed first to receive the full benefit. This is why we look at the whole picture before recommending it.
If you know someone dealing with aging skin or hair that doesn't seem to grow, pass this along!
